Deacon's Comment: Divine Mercy
How many of us want more mercy from God in our lives? I would be surprised if the answer wasn't all of us! However, do we equally want to give mercy? We see in the beatitudes that "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." In Luke 6:36, we are told how to show mercy, "Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful." We are called to be the light of the world and be the embodiment of God's love and mercy.
Mercy is "the loving kindness, compassion or forbearance shown to one who offends." God's divine mercy takes it to another level. It is God's undeserved, unmerited, and often not sought after, divine grace. This grace is poured out of God to meet our needs and bring us to greater holiness. We see this in the old Testament in Exodus 34:6, "God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness."
Spirit Filled Hearts Ministry is determined to play a significant role in the education and spread of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Novena. Our first conference had over 350 people!
No one can outdo God's love, kindness, generosity and mercy. Open your heart to receive the mercy that God has prepared for you! God bless you always!
Yours in Christ,
Deacon Steve Greco
